An extremely selective and influential group!

Stanford Professionals in Energy (SPIE) is an alumni organization that aims to build on Stanford’s leadership in energy research by providing a platform for real-world professional development and engagement. Launched in June 2015, SPIE is open to all Stanford alumni.

SPIE serves as a networking platform for alumni across the energy sector, from renewables and electric vehicles to biofuels, oil and gas, and utilities. The long-term goal is to increase alumni engagement with the broad range of energy-related activities on campus and foster collaboration among generations of alumni leaders in the energy sector.

Best of all, in spite of our selectivity, you don’t even need a credit card to join!

Want to get involved? Email us at spie@alumni.stanford.edu.

The switch~ marketing network includes:

The Stanford Energy Club, Stanford Alumni Association, MIT Climate Lab, and more.

…and promoting our Bay Area | switch~ events is our main effort at the present.

SPIE’s national reach

Since its launch in 2015, Stanford Professionals in Energy (SPIE) has grown to more than 1,800 members across all energy sectors, with regional chapters in the Bay Area, Houston, and the mid-Atlantic.
